This is the side of SOPA I am on because, to even have the possibility of our freedom being taken away is enough for me to say no to SOPA. While sopa even I admit can be a great thing and protect artists from having their work stolen the fact that our freedom can just be censored away I believe is the greatest con of SOPA. That is why I say no to sopa.

The pros and cons of sopa weigh each other out however most people only know sopa for being the killer of free speech its supposed to be the killer of online piracy. The pros of sopa are actually something that would make the online world a great place and it would make the people who work hard on their music and movies make the money they deserve. Then there is the cons of sopa the Godzilla of the internet. Foreign sites will be blacklisted, which means they won't show up in major search engines. The recent history of SOPA and PIPA

SOPA the Stop online piracy act while claiming to only censor the pirated movies music and games the law was written very loosely and could be used by the government to censor anything on the internet. This is what SOPA is and what it can do. This clearly would interfere with free speech. Without question, our nation’s Founding Fathers never imagined something like the Internet, but whether it was freedom of the press or freedom of assembly they saw government as protecting the American people against things like SOPA and PIPA not the government being the one to cause the censorship. As you can see our freedom of speech once protected by the constitution could be abolished by this law or as they see it could stop online piracy. Ether way you put it do you really want the government this much in control in essence this post could be destroyed by SOPA as soon as it is passed.
